At VALO Hotel breakfast times are currently booked at check-in. Our receptionists will give you breakfast coupons with different times when you check-in. The wellness area access must be booked in advance on Friday and Saturday evenings. Below you will find a booking link for wellness bookings. Please note that the wellness area is temporarily not available for guests without accommodation.
Staggered breakfast every day
Breakfast at Bistro ELO is staggered every day on weekdays and weekends. Our receptionists will give you breakfast coupons when you check-in. You can wish for desired breakfast time on site and we will try to fulfill your wishes whenever possible. Times are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Breakfast is reserved for 30 minutes or 45 minutes according to the time slot. We recommend that you arrive to breakfast at the time shown on your coupon.Please adhere to your time slot to ensure a safe breakfast for everyone. With us you can also enjoy breakfast in a hotel room for an additional fee of € 19. You can conveniently order your hotel’s breakfast with an in-room tablet.
Please remember to pick up your breakfast coupon at reception when you check in with the self-check-in machine. The coupon must be picked up on your arrival date no later than the evening.
Wellness area instructions
Due to the new restrictions the wellness area access is limited to different time slots which are between 30 to 60 minutes. Maximum occupancy in the area is 10 people and our staff is on site controlling the safety distances. With limited capacity, we can not guarantee wellness access for all of our guests, so please book your wellness slot as soon as possible. Link to the booking is sent to you when your room reservation is completed. Wellness area is open in the evenings from Sunday to Friday 15.00-23.00 and Saturdays 12.00-23.00. In the mornings the area is closed at the moment. Gym is temporarily closed.
After 20:00 wellness area is only for adults, age limit is 16-years. You can rent a bathrobe and slippers from our reception for 10 €. Kindly note that the changing rooms are closed at the moment so please change your swimming outfit in your room and take your towel/bathrobe with you from your room.
In the wellness area, it is the responsibility of each guest to ensure adequate safety distances and compliance with the instructions. Detailed instructions for safety in the wellness area can be found at the entrance to the wellness area and at the pool bar.
Our staff guides our guests in our restaurants between different spaces and reminds us to take care of safety gaps. There are signs on the premises of our restaurant reminding us to keep safety distances. At breakfast, guests are staggered each day with breakfast vouchers, which are distributed at check-in at reception. For breakfast and lunch, we offer disposable gloves for our customers. Handbags are available at the entrance and at the buffet table. We often change buffet pick-ups during breakfast and lunch.
If you prefer to dine in your room, you can order Room Service dishes 24 hours a day or the restaurant’s ala carte dishes according to the restaurant’s evening opening hours. In our shop you can buy individually packaged food and beverage products around the clock. Sales of liquor products begin at 9 a.m. and end at 10 p.m.
VALO Shop serves on the first floor in connection with our reception 24/7 with refreshing delicacies and drinks. The sale of liquor products starts at 9 am and ends at 10 pm. You can buy drinks from the VALO Shop in the wellness area.
In-room minibars are normally available 24 hours a day. Minibars are not filled between 22-09. Drinks can be taken to the wellness area from the minibar.
Meetings & Events
The capacity of each meeting room is halved from normal so that safety intervals are realized. Our meeting staff directs our clients to meeting rooms, break coffee and lunch according to pre-agreed schedules. It is also possible to enjoy conference meals in your own meeting room. For conference meals at Männikkö Coffee, handcuffs are available at the buffet table. Disposable gloves are available on the coffee market table. Serving picks are changed frequently. Cleaning measures have been intensified in the meeting rooms. Tables and chair surfaces are thoroughly cleaned after each table party.
It is also possible to hold a smooth remote or hybrid meeting in our premises, in which some of the participants or speakers attend the meeting remotely.
Events cannot be held after 10pm due to instructions given by the Board.
Actions in all areas
We have made hand disinfection points available to guests and employees at the hotel. Hand sanitizers can be found in the hotel’s public areas at the hotel and restaurant entrances, the hotel lobby’s reception and restaurant counters, meeting rooms, and public toilets and elevators.
We follow the recommended safety distance of 2 meters between customers and employees. We ensure that the recommendation is followed by guiding our customers in service situations. Furniture such as chairs and table groups are laid out more loosely than usual in all public areas and meeting rooms.
Our staff wears face masks in all of our public spaces except plexiglass-protected areas and kitchen areas. We also offer our customers face masks at the reception. Our reception desks have plexiglass to protect our guests and staff. We prefer card payments and avoid receiving cash. Card payment terminals and other contact surfaces are disinfected more efficiently. Room keys will be disinfected when they are returned to reception. We urge our guests to take care of safety intervals when dealing with the reception.
We actively inform our staff of the latest recommendations and monitor that the guidelines are followed internally. We invest in particularly good hand hygiene in accordance with the guidelines prepared by THL. We pay special attention to a high level of hygiene in service situations. Hands are washed more often and hand gloves are used regularly during the shift. Disposable gloves are used in the kitchen for handling unpackaged food. We have placed safety queuing points on our premises with floor markings.
We have further increased the hotel’s cleaning and hygiene activities. All hotel rooms and public areas are thoroughly cleaned daily. Frequently touched surfaces such as door handles, elevator buttons, faucets, and sanitary facilities are cleaned several times a day with a disinfectant cleaner. The surfaces of all tables and chairs are cleaned regularly after use.

It is extremely important for us at VALO to ensure the health of all our guests and staff. So don’t come to our hotels or restaurants as a corona symptom.
